Job Description: Dispatcher
Job Summary
North State Medical Transport, Inc. is currently accepting applications for evening dispatcher's
positions. Applicants must have excellent communication and multitasking skills. Experience
and NC EMT certification preferred, but not required. Answers phone calls, schedules and
dispatches transports, and serves as initial customer information resource. This job is the
company's primary connection to the population it serves, and is designed to be a liaison between
management, staff and the public. Starting salary based on experience.

Job Accountabilities
- Telephonically interacts with facilities, customers, staff and the public
- Receives requests for transports and schedules transports based on the availability of
ambulances throughout the day, as well as for future days.
- Assigns crew members to vehicles and dispatches them for transports according to their
availability.
- Operates dispatch computer and all dispatch program software. Performs related record
keeping.
- Interacts with beginning and ending of day functions of the ambulance crews.
Job Qualifications
- Minimum Education: High School Diploma or GED
- Minimum Field-of-Expertise: Basic computer skills.
- Preferred Experience: 1+ year(s) previous dispatching or medical transport.
- Preferred Field-of-Expertise: Zoll Data, EPro scheduler, and Microsoft Office
